Help me to understand...

Why is it that someone will sit and wait an extra 5 minutes for a parking spot closer to the entrance of Wal*Mart when there are tons of empty spaces only 25 feet away?
I've already parked, walked by them as they're waiting for the spot, and in the store before they even get parked...and I arrived in the lot after they did.
Am I missing something?

Yea the entertainment that is the Carilion Parking garages in the morning. The morons will stop to get a 1st or 2nd level spot nearly making us all late for work so they don't have to walk downstairs or imagine this, take the elevator. It really doesn't matter where you park because you still have to trek across the bridge, brave the crosswalk then get to whatever area of the hospital. Laziness is amazing. I don't get it either. I parked on the roof the other day and was tempted to pull the bike out and ride the rest of the way. =D

5ft, 25ft, what's the difference. That is no comparison to how many feet they will be walking inside the fottball field size store! That is, of course, if they don't use one of those motorized shopping scooters.
